McElhannon
Dee Die McElhannon, age 80 of Monroe, died on June 27, 2009. She was born in Walton County on June 2, 1929 to the late Dan Howington and the late Elise Shadburn Howington. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Jimmy McElhannon and her sister, the late Barbara Needham.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Phil and Donna McElhannon of Monroe; grandchildren: LCPL Taylor McElhannon of Al Asad, Iraq, Kristen and Josh Yancey of Monroe, Brett McElhannon of Monroe, Joey and Falesha McElhannon of Monroe; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Christian Church with the Rev. Don Hardison and the Rev. Adam Turner officiating. Interment followed at Corinth Christian Church Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Corinth Christian Church Bus Fund, 1635 Hwy 81, Loganville, GA 30052.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
