Monroe squad takes trophy

The Monroe Area competitive cheerleaders won the junior varsity division title at the Oct. 17 Fear to Cheer tournament at Loganville High School.
The Cheer ‘Canes won three first-place trophies and a runner-up award this season, which concluded with the Fear to Cheer performance.
Team members include Whitney Parham, Madison Farmer, Lindsey Taylor, Jonathan Williams, Elyse Moon, Cassi Moore, MaKayla Harris, Brittany Urquhart, Jameria Slaton, Meagan Jones, Brittany Hilliard, Kadijah Hodo, Breanna Armistead, Mary Cartmill, coach Dawn Stroh and coach Kelli Cleveland.
