Barton
Ola Lee Barton, age 85 of Monroe, died on Nov. 11, 2009. She was born in Newton County on Aug. 6, 1924 to the late Robert and Estelle McWaters. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late “Thad” Raymond Barton; and her great granddaughter, the late Haley Barton.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Laverne Shannon of Monroe, Brenda and Larry Murrell of Loganville; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Linda Barton of Social Circle; sisters, Betty Waters of Cumming, Louise Moon of Hartwell, Joyce Edmondson of Good Hope; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Autry and the Rev. Andy Barton officiating.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
