Rudon “Don” Garner
Rudon “Don” Garner, age 78 of Social Circle, died on Nov. 29, 2009. He was born in Columbus on January 14, 1931 to the late J.B. and Beatrice Garner. Don was a member of First Baptist Church of Social Circle for the past 37 years, where he served as a deacon and usher. He served in the Air Force for over 20 years and was a member of the Dawson Lodge # 68 for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Daws Garner of Social Circle; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bryan Dyer of Rock Hill, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Susan Garner of Covington; sister, Mabel Mullis of Columbus; and grandchildren, Matthew Garner, Michael Dyer, Alan Garner, and Rebecca Dyer.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Social Circle with the Rev. W.C. Tribble officiating. Interment will follow at Social Circle City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Social Circle Building Fund, P.O. Box 428, Social Circle, GA 30025.
