Pauline Reeves Cronan
Pauline Reeves Cronan, age 97 of Monroe, died on Aug. 9, 2009. She was born in Walton County on Nov. 24, 1911 to the late W.F. Reeves and the late Martha Perry Reeves. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Ralph Cronan.
She was secretary at Union Oil until her retirement in 1978. They retired and moved to Lake Hartwell. Residing there until 2005, when she moved to Great Oaks in Monroe. After declining in health, she then moved to Park Place Nursing Facility.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartwell, Georgia.
She is survived by nephews: Perry Reeves of Athens, Ronnie Reeves of Waco, Texas, and Tim Reeves of Monroe; nieces: Jane Chaney of Ormond Beach, FL, Lucy Chastain of Atlanta, Mary Frances Schnake of Monroe, and Denise Ethridge of Sandy Springs; sister-in-law: Charlotte H. Reeves of Monroe.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday Aug. 27th at 3 p.m.. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home in Monroe with the Rev. Todd Ware officiating. Her body was donated to Emory University School of Medicine. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell or a charity of your choice.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
