Wilma Gilliland Hataway, age 82 of Monroe, died on Dec. 10, 2009. She was born in Nash County, NC on Aug. 14, 1927 to the late Archie and Maggie Gilliland. She was preceded in death by her sister, the late Lottie Bragg.
She is survived by her husband, Larry L. Hataway of Monroe; daughter, Debby Bulluck of Rocky Mount, NC; son, Steve Bulluck of Zebulon, NC; sister, Betty G. Woodruff of Rocky Mount, NC; grandchildren, Kevin Simmons of Rocky Mount, NC, David Simmons of Ellensburg, WA, Merredith Bulluck of Zebulon, NC; great grandson; Kyle Simmons of Phoenix, AZ; nieces, Dot Broach of Monroe, Linda and Tommy Parker of Monroe, Mary Nell and Benny Adcock of Monroe, Lisa and Michael Robards of Apex, NC, and Donna and Roger Harding of Apex, NC.
Funeral Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. at Campton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Draper and the Rev. Billy Pittman officiating. Interment followed at the Campton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Meadows Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
