Norma Jean Malcom, age 74 of Monroe, passed away Oct. 12, 2009. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Monroe Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Malcom and Dr. Todd Ware officiating. Interment followed in Malcom Cemetery. Mrs. Malcom was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. Malcom, Sr. and her sister, Donnie Sue House. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert F. and Pat Malcom, Jr. of Monroe; Mitch and Julie Malcom of Monroe; sisters, Ruth Evelyn “Tommie” Ford of Covington; Juanita “Nita” Jones of Smyrna; grandchildren, Stephen Malcom, Joanna Malcom and Ian Malcom; several nieces and nephews.
