“Mike” as most peopel knew him was a huge part of the community and a friend to many. After 30 years of owning his business, Mike changed careers and became a deputy for the Walton County Sheriff’s Department. He was dedicated to his new career and was in training at the law enforcement academy at the time of h is death. He was an outdorrs man who loved to hunt and fish. He also loved the sport of baseball and could talk for hours about the Braves. He adored his grandchildren and helped to coach his grandson’s little league baseball team. Those little guys loved “Coach Mike”. He was truly a great man and he will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
