Sidney Ray Brown
Sidney Ray Brown, of Social Circle, died Oct. 15, 2009, at Abbey Hospice, at the age of 63. Son of the late Sidney James (Buck) Brown, he served in the United States Navy in Vietnam for four years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Social Circle, and enjoyed playing the piano there, as well as Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Monroe. Mr. Brown also enjoyed reading and computers.
Survivors include his mother, Delua Brown of Social Circle; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth B. and Grady Lemonds of Social Circle; nieces, Emily Holmes and Marci Griffin; nephew, Tim Lemonds.
Funeral services for Mr. Brown were held on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with the Rev. W. C. Tribble and the Rev. Harold Gilbert officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.

Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangments.
